This position will be tasked with maintaining a safe environment for employees and authorized visitors at the facility and protecting the property and assets of Tyson Foods. The Security department runs 3 shifts and shift assignment will be determined upon job offer.<br> <br> <b>Duties and Responsibilities</b> <b>: </b> <br> <br> <ul> <li>Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel and authorized items into the facility.</li> <li>Monitoring and patrolling the premises utilizing surveillance cameras, foot patrols, and vehicle patrols to identify security issues. </li> <li>Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.</li> <li>Investigating, completing reports, and maintaining records of security issues, workplace violence, property damage, and ethics related incidents.</li> <li>Interviewing team members and documenting the statements of those involved in any incidents and disturbances within the facility.</li> <li>Operating communications equipment including telephone, two-way radio, and intercom equipment. </li> <li>Responding to emergencies such fires, workplace violence, medical incidents, and security breaches.</li> <li>Collaborating with local police and fire officials as necessary for better preparedness and response to emergency situations. </li> <li>Other job assignment duties may be assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <br> <b>Requirements</b>: <br> <br> <ul> <li> <b>Education:</b> High School diploma or its equivalency. </li> <li> <b>Experience:</b> Previous law enforcement, military, corrections, or security experience preferred. </li> <li> <b>Computer Skills</b>: Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. </li> <li> <b>Communication Skills</b>: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are a necessity, and applicant must possess the ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Tyson Management. <b>Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.</b></li> <li> <b>Special Skills</b>: Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, and <b>calmly and reasonably handle situations that are tense, uncertain, and rapidly evolving.</b> Must have a level of physical fitness and stamina that will allow them to withstand periods of walking and standing for periods of time, running short distances, and controlling physical altercations if necessary. </li> <li>Sponsorship is not available for this position.
