Summary: Plan, schedule and follow up on production orders in support of customer and internal demands. Ensure that TGC makes or buys the right material, at the right time, in the right quantity, to the right place, with the best quality and at the lowest possible cost. Qualifications and Education: 7-10 years of progressive planning experience in a highly vertically integrated manufacturing environment. APICS CPIM Certification preferred B.A./B.S. in Business or related field ERP Software experience preferably SAP MS Office Strong scheduling skills required. Strong working knowledge of MRP. Strong problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review customer demands and provide Productions commitments to Sales. Using MRP system, establish the required quantities and availability of materials needed to meet these demands. Release Work Orders accordingly. Pro-Actively communicate across the organization scheduling issues and opportunities to ensure deliveries are met and objectives are achieved. Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned scheduled work. Generate daily status reports and act as the information hub for all issues concerning/impacting delivery schedules. Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Interface with purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory. Responsible for coordinating timely shipments to customers. Troubleshoot various issues. Other duties may be assigned as required.
