Job Summary

Summary: The sales representative is responsible to grow and develop the sales and margins and product lines with the retailer/dealer network; located within an assigned geographic territory

AREA D: Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Osceola, Orange, Lake, Sumter, Hernando, Citrus, Seminole

  • Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current customers that lead to increased sales and revenue
  • Urgently responsive to customers’ needs and inquiries
  • Responsible for identifying and prospecting for new customers
  • Responsible for identifying and prospecting sale contracts
  • Develop/maintain relationships and provide great service to retailers leading to future sales
  • Work closely with management to develop sales strategies
  • Analyze market trends and develop action plan to capitalize on shifts in market
  • Quote prices, special credit terms and negotiate sale order contracts
  • Product Knowledge training for sales reps, architects and interior designers
  • This is not an office position. This position requires driving all day in the territory to visit B2B accounts, finding new leads contractors and develop the sales in the territory.

Qualifications

·          Minimum High School diploma.

·          One (1) plus years’ experience in channel distribution sales recommended and/or

Minimum of 1 year of related industry experience; natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries.

·          Math skills apt for sale figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, area, volume, weights, size.

·          Fluent English, verbal and written and   Intermediary Spanish, verbal and written

·          Must be result-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment

·          Intermediate computer proficiency including e-mail, smartphones, software and apps.

·          Valid driver’s license

·          Excellent sales and negotiation skills

·          Good communication and people skills

·          Confidence and motivation to work toward targets

·          Good organizational and time management skills

·          Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving

·          Resilience to deal with customers who turn you down

 

Responsibilities:

·          Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, and Every Third Saturday from 9am-1pm general sales meeting held in Doral.

·          Present, promote and sell products/services to prospective customers.

Passionate about delivering a great customer experience.

Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers on a daily basis.

·          Must be able to conduct consistent check ins on company CRM software, weekly review.

Travel daily and overstay on longer business trips when necessary for territory needs. Occasionally nationally.

·          Provide knowledge and training company product, to ensure personnel is able to present product and negotiate well with final consumers

Participate in regular sales calls, monthly sales meetings, and training as required

·          Maintain current knowledge of trends in products, services, policies and procedures.

·          Understand our products, our market competition and how to position products to overcome these factors

·          Deliver samples, catalogues and selling tools for customer availability

Set up displays, sampling and maintain point of sale products presentable

Deliver orders when en route

·          Understand retail business financials to consult with dealers on retail pricing, advertising, promotions and ROI

·          Quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales contracts for customer orders

·          Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes

·          Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company’s delivery schedules

·          Review and analyze various sales reports to identify sales potential with current customers, potential new customers and check in results to territory

·          Research and analyze customer needs and demands based on market information

·          Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns and credits

·          Attend trade shows throughout the year as required

·          While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands to handle objects, tools, pick up and deliver product and samples as well as set up client products in showroom, clean and mark accordingly. Maneuver, load and unload weight ; reach with their hands and arms; and communicate verbally
