Accounting Support Specialist

Responsibilities of the position could include (but are not limited to): reconciliation of various balance sheets and expense accounts, state and non-governmental billings, preparation of cost reimbursement billings and federal governmental billings, preparation of financial reports and general ledgers, the analysis and preparation of budgets, maintaining accounting of Leases through leasing software, assist in the preparation of financial audits, and the general performance of bookkeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred

· Minimum of two years of work experience in nonprofit, public, or similar accounting/bookkeeping required, experience with federal funding a plus

· Experience with grant and governmental reporting preferred

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office & Great Plains

· MUST have thorough experience in Excel, perform functions such as PivotTables, formulas and V-Lookups

· Adept at analyzing financial information/data and summarizing financial status

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across divisions to build strong fiscal partnerships

· Ability to evaluate and recommend modifications and growth opportunities for accounting systems and procedures

· Keen attention to detail, ability to work on various projects concurrently, and ability to meet deadlines
