*In this position you will be responsible for:*
* Organize and process financial transactions by keying data, sorting documents, and processing transactions
* Reconcile transaction, budget and expense reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting
* Maintain financial filing systems, routinely oversee and update these systems are necessary to streamline financial processes
* Process and organize financial information, such as invoices and payments and creating reports from this data to assist the CFO
* Reconciling and reporting on any discrepancies found in records
* Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
* Scan and index invoices into electronic record keeping system (i.e. Paperwise)
* Assist with other projects as needed to meet the goals and objects of the Fiscal Department
* Support with State, Federal and Association monthly financial filings.
* Cross train and provide back up support to the AP/AR clerk and Payroll Clerk.
* Performs other duties as assigned
*Job Requirements: *
*Education: *High School graduate or GED; college courses in accounting preferred
*Experience: *Minimum 2 years accounting experience*; *MS office, databases and accounting software; Experience with Sage Intacct system preferred.
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: *
Must possess ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately; Proficiency in computer spreadsheets; Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness; Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively in a shared office environment; Must be well organized and a self-starter; Detailed oriented, professional attitude and reliable.
