The Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Back-End Engineer to join our growing team and play a crucial role in building the backend infrastructure for our innovative platform. You will work closely with the Full-Stack Engineering Lead and a team of talented engineers to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable back-end services. While your primary focus will be back-end development, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate across the full stack, leveraging your full-stack capabilities to contribute to the overall success of the platform.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement distributed and scalable back-end services using modern programming languages and frameworks. Collaborate with front-end engineers to build APIs that facilitate seamless communication between the front-end and back-end components. Develop and maintain data models using relational or NoSQL databases. Implement robust security measures to protect user data and system integrity. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in back-end technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in back-end development with a strong understanding of server-side programming languages (Python, Java, etc.). Experience with relational databases and familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience building and deploying APIs (REST, GraphQL). Experience with implementing security best practices. Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A passion for building innovative and scalable back-end systems. Experience with full-stack development (front-end technologies) is a plus.

We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual's qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full time employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, and responsible PTO.

Expected salary range in Denver

$145,000—$170,000 USD
