Job Responsibilities but not limited to:

•             Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

•             Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records

•             Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies

•             Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization

•             Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables

•             Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes

•             Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors timely

•             Analyze invoices, expense reports and check requests for accuracy and approvals.

•             Familiar with importing and exporting files for payment purposes

•             Investigate and resolve discrepancies or other payment issues with vendors.

•             Resolve and respond to vendor inquiries.

•             Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable/accounts recievable data

•             Reconcile the accounts ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

•             Generate reports detailing status

•             Understand expense accounts and cost centers

•             Perform administrative duties such as copying, opening mail, filing, maintaining open invoices

•             Understands compliance issues for accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

•             Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

•             2-3 years of experience - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

•             Associates degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting or Business management

•             It is beneficial if a candidate is a Certified Bookkeeper (CP) from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or equivalent, but this is not required.

•             QuickBook Online or Desktop and Fishbowl EMS is highly desired

•             Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

•             Intermediate to Proficient Microsoft user to include Excel (Vlookup and Pivots) is highly desired.

•             The desire and ability to be punctual and professional every day.

•             Experience performing bookkeeping for complex businesses through financial statement preparation and review.

•             Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate both internally and externally

•             Demonstrated experience and ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners
