Perks Include: * $18.00 per hour * Summers off * A free meal with each shift * Pro-rated tuition discount opportunities, based on eligibility * On-site free gym membership * Conveniently located on the bus line The current schedule we have open for these part-time opportunities are: * Food Service/Prep - Sunday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (4 hour shift, up to 20 hours a week, would include Sunday and then four days between Monday and Friday) You will have the opportunity to learn on the job aspects of dining and large-scale food service operations and you will enjoy interacting daily with our students. In the role you will do a variety of things, which could include: * Assist in food preparation of delicious, healthy meals * Interact with a variety of customers daily * Show your culinary flair by making made-to-order menu items * Ensure a clean working environment by adhering to industry health codes * Maintain operation of and clean dish machine, washing dishes, silverware, pots/pans, etc. * Provide guidance to student employees and MSS workers as needed. * Sweep, mop, and empty trash The University of St. Thomas Dining Services is a dynamic operation that provides a crucial role for our community by providing daily food service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. QUALIFICATIONS * Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for this position * Some experience with food preparation or commercial dish-washing is preferred but not required This position works a flexible schedule based on business needs, and could include nights and weekends. The position may be considered emergency essential, which means if campus closes due to an emergency or inclement weather, emergency essential employees still need to report and complete any regularly scheduled hours.
