Speech Therapist - Artesia Palms Care Center

<ul><li>Compassionately assess, diagnoses and treats speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders</li><li>Continually reviews treatment results and adjusts treatment programs to ensure optimal results for patients/residents</li><li>Organizes, updates and concisely documents patient charts, daily progress notes, summaries, monthly reports and other required paperwork as needed</li><li>Supports and instructs patient/family in techniques, adapting behaviors for better communication outcomes</li><li>Follows all facility safety and other policies keeping updated on regulations governing the industry and profession</li><li>Participates in inter-departmental meetings and facility operations</li><li>Communicates patient status and needs to those involved with care maintaining confidentially when required in accordance with HIPAA</li><li>Develops plans and provides treatments consistent with benefit and reimbursement levels for best functional outcome following physician orders</li><li>Educates staff, other health care professionals and third-party payer on the benefits and functional outcomes of therapy interventions</li><li>Provides in-service trainings or other educational presentations to company, as needed - updating policies and procedures as they relate to the department</li><li>Communicates with assistants and rehabilitation technicians providing clear directives concerning patients and their treatment plans prior to initiation of patient care</li><li>Confers with Program Specialists and department leaders to develop and implement new programs and techniques to enhance program utilization</li><li>Submits billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner</li></ul> <img src="https://ars2.equest.com/? response_id=72fd7ad651d3dd30fbafbb32f5101eaa&view" alt=" " width="1" height="1"/>
