Speech and Language Pathologist
Full Time/Permanent
Paid: Hourly/Salary
Location: Colonial Heights, VA- In Clinic- In person

SUMMARY/ JOB OBJECTIVE:
TASKids is looking for an exceptional speech and language pathologist with a clinical background in Speech Language with Pediatric services- Early Intervention Program. We provide Speech, Occupational, and ABA services for children with special needs in the Richmond and Colonial Heights areas. Services will be through provided Tricare, Medicaid, privately, and through health insurances.

We are looking for a Speech and Language Pathologist who believes consistency and collaboration are crucial to increasing communication skills for all children and is passionate about fostering the
development of a strong and collaborative team. We value SLPs who are team players and seek
opportunities for developing and implementing creative and innovative treatment plans to complement ABA and occupational therapy services for children. Although our practice has a large population of kiddos impacted by autism, we evaluate and treat children who are not on the Autism spectrum with a variety of diagnoses delays and disorders to supplement.
Candidates will receive support from the clinical team and will work closely with staff in our speech department. They will be responsible for conducting direct services and evaluations. Clinical fellow would be appropriate for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. General knowledge and understanding of all areas of speech and language (receptive language,
expressive language, articulation, phonology, apraxia, oral motor, feeding, pragmatics, and auditory processing) for all ages, emphasis on ages 0-36 months.
2. Performs professional work designed to provide Speech therapy to families of children with
developmental disabilities.
3. Provide patient care services involving evaluation and treatment of speech/language or hearing
disorders.
4. Work involving developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation
with family members and other professionals working with the family. Strong communication skills to work directly with parents and staff.
5. Identify, research, and implement latest evidence-based methodologies in order to maintain the practice up to date.
6. Direct/Indirect oversight pertaining to early intervention programs and experience collaborating with OT and ABA staff.
7. Support administrative team with staff/parent clinical concerns.
8. Other duties assigned by Clinical Director within scope of work.

REQUIREMENTS:
• EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Must possess Virginia license to practice Speech Therapy
• Be interested and excited about coordinating care with behavior analysts and other
providers to improve outcomes
• Must possess valid driver's license
• Must pass background check
