<p><b>Description</b> </p> <p><b>$10,000 Sign on Bonus!</b></p><p> </p><p>Purpose: Performs imaging procedures and assists in the performance of interventional and neuro interventional procedures on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as assigned, demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide the appropriate care to the age of the patient, and performs imaging procedures in Radiology. Population served based on scope of services in the department. </p><p> </p><p>Essential Responsibilities </p><p>1. Performs diagnostic angiographic procedures and assists physicians with interventional and neurointerventional procedures and performs quality imaging. </p><p>2. Prepares patients for procedures and explains nature of each exam. Gives proper instruction prior to, during, and following procedures. </p><p>3. Prepares, operates and cares for equipment and other technical instruments used for administration of contrast agents, patient monitoring, and surgical intervention.</p><p>4. Ensures protocol for proper procedural documentation is adhered to. </p><p>5. Assists radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents. </p><p>6. Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and completes verification process in Picture Archiving Communication System, and other related clinical systems. </p><p>7. Maintains sterile technique during all procedures and ensures cleanliness of procedure room and work area. </p><p>8. Assumes responsibility for inventory and control of specific angiography items such as catheters, guide wires, and interventional sets, and orders supplies for the area or responsibility. </p><p>9. Protects patients, employees and self from excessive exposure and follows "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" (ALARA) guidelines at all times. </p><p>10. Actively participates in activities that promote safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development. </p><p>11. Ensures accurate, timely and professional communication when communicating with supervisors, co-workers, physicians, patients and all hospital guests, and ensures timely delivery of appropriate and high-quality services. </p><p> </p><p>Education and Experience Requirements: </p><p>• Minimum two (2) years of college or technical training. </p><p>• PREFERRED: Minimum of one (1) year Special Procedures Tech experience. </p><p>Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:</p><p>• Maintains competency and proficiency with all interventional and neurointerventional radiology equipment and procedures by utilizing reading material and attending in-service programs. </p><p>• General knowledge of a specialized or technical field normally associated with an A.A. or A.S. degree. </p><p>License, Registration, or Certification Requirements: </p><p>• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. </p><p>• NYS Radiologic Technologist License. </p><p>• American Registry and Radiologic Technology Certification, or eligible.  </p><p> </p><p>Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center</p><p>Work Type: Full-Time</p><p>Standard Hours: 40.00</p><p>Work Schedule: Day 8</p><p>Work Shift: M-F 8am to 4:30pm, Rotation into call overnights, weekends, and holidays</p><p>Department: Interventional Radiology</p><p>Salary Range: $47.18 - $60.73 Hourly</p>
