Sourcing Internship
Summer 2025
Position Overview:
You will have the opportunity to view our business as an industrial customer. The Sourcing Rotational internship will have the opportunity to work with our Meat and Ingredient Buyers, Packaging and MRO Buyers, as well as our co-pack team to learn the fundamentals of making our business hum. Opportunities will include weekly purchasing responsibilities, supplier engagement, forecasting analysis, cost savings initiatives, and leading a strategic initiative through execution.
Responsibilities:

• Lead a strategic sourcing initiative through execution. This includes leading vision, objectives, scope, and deliverables related to sourcing and strategic supply initiatives
• Work on cross-functional teams and work independently
• Position will have opportunity to work with protein, packaging, and ingredient sourcing team as well as the co-manufacturing team
• Maintain accurate and complete work records such as a notebook and status reports
• Be an engaging participant of the Sourcing team. Share your ideas, questions, problems, and results with other team members

Education:

• Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field from an accredited university. Emphasis in Agriculture, Animal, Food, or Meat Science preferred. Junior or Senior status preferred.
• 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred.

Experience:

• Prior work experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability and willingness to travel to other facilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize own work, yet function as a vital part of a team
• Ability to work "off shifts" as needed
• Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
• Must possess a drive for excellence
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
