SCCI has an exciting opportunity for a Test Automation Tool Developer to join our team in support of the Battle Management System (BMS), an innovative DoD program. The BMS team specializes in rapidly developing and deploying innovative technology solutions to outmatch the evolving threats faced by our warfighters. If you have an advanced knowledge and background in designing, developing, and delivering tools to automate portions of the test and evaluation process, this is your opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals making a difference! The team is searching for an innovative developer with advanced knowledge of Python and C# to develop and maintain test tools. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA .

This is an on-site position with some remote flexibility.

Responsibilities: This testing includes developmental testing as well as system level testing to ensure the products are well characterized and understood before delivery to the warfighter. The BMS team conducts testing both in the lab and in the field with constant focus on improving the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of test and evaluation to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to the warfighter as quickly as possible. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working collaboratively with test and evaluation personnel to develop, maintain, and modernize test automation tools for weapons control systems including identifying and incorporating the latest hardware, technology, and techniques in this rapidly evolving arena
  • Coding GUI interfaces for the tools using Python and C#
  • Supporting test and evaluation of products across the BMS portfolio to understand the test process
  • Working multiple projects at once and managing priorities while communicating successes and challenges with the integrated technical team
  • Adhering to prescribed configuration management for all coding
  • Conveying complex technical information in straightforward way
  • Interfacing professionally with military, contractor, and government agencies
  • Collaborating with the BMS technical team through regularly scheduled BMS meetings

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in computer science, engineering, scientific, or technical discipline; Or Three (3)+ years of direct hands-on experience with the development and sustainment, or technical discipline; Or a military background with relevancy to weapon control system testing
  • Experience with developing GUIs using Python and/or C#
  • Understanding of and experience with software development
  • Knowledge of weapon control systems testing
