Social Work Support Specialist

About the position: The Social Work Support Specialist will provide counseling services to students and perform diagnostic assessments as part of an educational support team. This role will also involve developing and implementing intervention and prevention programs to support student success and collaborating with community agencies to ensure accessibility of services to the school community. Additionally, the Specialist will prioritize student safety and support the professional development of colleagues.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
  • Valid state licensing board credential with appropriate endorsement(s) for the role

Physical requirements: Light Work: Exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Employment expectations: All new hires must satisfactorily complete all onboarding requirements including passing a tuberculosis test, drug test, and state and federal criminal background checks. The workplace is drug and alcohol-free.
