**Buyer Experience Partner - New Product**

**About the team** We are a startup within a startup, a small, cross-functional team working on one of Opendoors next plays. We believe that what got us here wont get us there, and we need to constantly innovate to fully realize our mission of empowering everyone with the freedom to move. We launched a new product at the end of 2021 and were looking to hire the first members of a customer care team dedicated to this new product. Youll work closely with our customers as they engage with the product, and also with our Product team to make sure were meeting our customers needs. **Role Responsibilities**

+ Coordinate across a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, breaking through walls and seeing around corners to ensure customer transactions happen smoothly and without avoidable delays

+ Be there for our customers when they need you, including being available on nights and weekends when necessary to ensure positive customer outcomes (real estate doesnt sleep)

+ Engage with teammates and leaders across product, design, ops, and eng to share insights about trends that are impacting our customer experience; the expectation is that you will draw connections between individual transactions to analyze emerging patterns and strategize ways to improve the product based on those findings

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to rapidly build better tools, processes, and product experiences focused on both customer NPS and team efficiency

+ Negotiate repairs with our customers mostly independently, in a manner that is both fair to our customers and protects the interests of the business

**Skills Needed**

+ Experience in customer service, support, sales, business development, project management, or similar role working with customers to find solutions to complex problems

+ Operational urgency and autonomy: you can independently manage projects to deliver results under tight timelines with multiple stakeholders and challenges to overcome, balancing a ton of competing priorities

+ Critical thinking skills: negotiating repairs requires you to be comfortable at interpreting complicated and incomplete construction inspection reports, adept at understanding customer needs and pain points, and assessing overall transaction context all at once to efficiently drive towards a resolution thats fair for both the customer and Opendoor

+ Maniacal customer focus: you are relentless in solving customer problems showing a high degree of empathy; you also demonstrate calmness under pressure that builds trust quickly in our product and company

+ You have experience in a rapidly growing organization where youve helped build products and processes from the ground up

+ You have experience in, or a passion for, residential real estate and building a better way to buy homes
