We are looking for a full-time Claris FileMaker Technical Project Lead to join our client-centered team. This position offers the flexibility of fully remote work. Note that you must be able to work in the United States; we do not sponsor visas at this time.

Position Description

Technical Project Lead is a hybrid role which includes technical leadership, business analysis, and client relationship management responsibilities. Technical Project Leads oversee the technical work and products we deliver for our clients. Additionally, they often develop FileMaker solutions in a senior Application Developer role.

Sharpening your solid experience in business analysis and consulting, you'll work with clients to define goals, propose solutions and evaluate alternatives.

Building off of your strong skills in application design and architecture, you'll create prototypes, define project plans, make estimates and write technical specifications.

Implement Systems

As you hit the ground running with your solid relational database skills, you'll provide deep technical expertise and lead delivery of FileMaker systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as business analyst for projects; working with clients to define goals, propose solutions, identify value. Lead bespoke FileMaker software development projects. Collaborate with Project Managers to define how project work is managed and monitored. Build strong professional relationships with clients and advise clients regarding options and recommendations. Supervise developers and direct all technical work for a project team. Write technical specifications and requirements documents. Provide project estimates and progress updates to Project Managers. Make architectural decisions independently or in collaboration with Technical Solution Architects. Mentor developers and business analysts on projects. Anticipate risks, propose creative solutions. Keep up-to-date with relevant technologies. Log time accurately. Write software according to coding standards and best practices. Expectations for a Successful Candidate

Proven expertise in the Claris FileMaker platform. At least two years' experience as a FileMaker Developer. Demonstrated ability to lead and take ownership of all phases of a project, from discovery through deployment. Demonstrated ability to research and develop solutions to technical problems outside one's area of expertise. Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership for all project output and deliverables, and ensuring such output:

Meets quality requirements Is designed with project constraints in mind (schedule, budget, scope, etc). Meets client business requirements.

"Rolls up their sleeves" and does what is necessary to remove or resolve obstacles blocking progress. Proven consulting skills:

Listens, interprets, discovers. Effectively communicates complex business and technical concepts. Approaches a project from the client's perspective, performs responsibilities with empathy. Clients consistently trust and rely upon advice and recommendations.
