Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components, is seeking highly motivated, team players, possessing a continuous improvement mindset, to join our team as Shipping and Receiving Team Member

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB

- Perform the functions of shipping outbound material – picking, labeling, packing, and loading of all materials to be shipped.

- Ensure all shippers, invoicing, ASN’s, and customs paperwork are correct and processed in a timely manner.

- Perform the functions of receiving of material – unload/verify pack slip and deliver material to designated areas.

- Maintain returnable container log as mandated by our customers

- Ensure all hazardous material (i.e. paints, solvents, chemicals, etc...) are properly stored in designated locations.

- Call in transportation as requested by customers, production control and management.

- Communicate with support staff (Production Control and Management) on part shortages.

- Track inbound/outbound premium freight – retaining appropriate authorization from management.

- Maintain neat, orderly, and safe warehouse locations using 6S practices.

- Validate all ASN’s, via QAD or fax method are processed accurately and timely.

- Assist in taking daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventories.

- Assist in proper notification of potential shortages that may affect the production of finished product

- Assist in Internal/External Corrective Actions as required.

- Assist in resolving ASN and shipping discrepancies as required.

- Ensure 100% on time shipping windows

- Due to the nature of this job, other duties and functions may be assigned, as required

- Responsible to exercise and administer responsibility towards non-conforming situations that ultimately effect the

Performance of LAPEER Plating & Plastics with its customers

- May have to function, at times, without direct supervision and be capable to perform all functions and duties as required.

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

- Properly operate a fork truck in accordance within the safety guidelines, as set forth by management

- Willingness to participate in company sponsored training, of new technology, in the practices and procedures of

Shipping/receiving, material handling and inventory control

- Computer Literate and operation of hand scanners to track inventory & product.
