ABOUT THE ROLE

You will supervise day-to-day store activities, ensure overall store performance, identify staffing needs, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while mentoring and developing the employees. You will use quantitative measures such as volume of sales, purchases, assets, number of customers, etc., to oversee all retail operations from training in marijuana, intake process, processing sales, managing cash drawers, retail inventory of products and developing cross-marketing tactics.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all state marijuana rules and regulations governing the act for both medical and adult use purposes, and directly supervises the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education.
  • Provides management and leadership for day-to-day operations including the operation of sales terminals and transactions.
  • Manages all record retention requirements (patient records and logs, sales receipts, storage and auditing of all inventory) according to state regulations and company standards.
  • Responsible for coordinating/ordering inventory and supplies and maintains accurate records.
  • Development and enforcement of the Dispensary privacy policies and procedures, the security and confidentiality of all patient information, as well as overall compliance.
  • Directs and monitors floor managers/supervisors to accomplish goals established monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Consistently adheres to and reinforces operating plan approved by state regulators to ensure ongoing operational licenses maintained and protected.
  • Assisting with implementing and maintaining security systems for tracking, record keeping, record retention and surveillance related to all product at every stage of storage, delivery, transportation, and distribution.
  • Create a diverse and inclusive work culture that ensures buy-in and positive reinforcement.
  • Adhere and collect all People Operations documentation for new hires and assisting with maintaining ongoing administrative needs.
  • Staff development and ongoing maintenance of job descriptions for all positions that are kept accurate and updated.
  • Create organizational development and maintain employee training programs.
  • Conduct performance reviews to regularly for ongoing employee performance management.
  • Recruit, retain top tier talent and help develop workforce planning and staffing forecasts.
  • Maintain cleanly and inviting facilities that stimulate workplace culture and welcome our clients
  • Effectively communicate across all channels, with flexibility and adaptability being most critical.
  • Ensure employee safety, wellness, and health & welfare.
  • Performs other duties.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout center.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to access products.
  • Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.


Must Haves

Education and Experience:

  • To remain compliant with state law, you must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
  • 2 years of management experience.
  • 5 years of customer service/fast paced retail environment.

  • State cannabis knowledge and understanding of cannabis products preferred.
