Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail. As a Service Team Lead A&P in GAC Palm Beach, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and completing tasks on quotes and work authorizations.
  • Coordinate with quality, materials, and other back-shop/shared service organizations to ensure compliance with company policies and FAA regulations.
  • Maintain a current knowledge and understanding of Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Aircraft Service Changes, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, and vendor information.
  • Ensure project financial success by monitoring and controlling daily time and material charging to work orders.
  • Provide daily updates to customers on schedule status, invoices, and dispute resolutions.
  • Act on behalf of the hangar manager or STM in their absence or when assigned.
  • Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain good housekeeping and safety in all areas.
  • Anticipate and address situations that affect customer satisfaction and service center safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, openness, and diversity in thinking.
  • Provide input to technician performance appraisals and assist with establishing/recommending employee development and training plans.
  • Assist with the safety and serviceability of all ground support equipment and coordinate repairs and routine maintenance notification.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with customer communications and the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication skills and the ability to understand and articulate project finances and customer billing.
  • Able to organize work, train employees, solve problems, and adapt to change.
  • Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to use and understand various computer hardware/software applications.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
