A great UHY client is seeking an Senior Tax Analyst with SALT experience.
This role is a hybrid/remote position (after an initial fully onsite period for training). This is a contract position.
*Summary:*
The accountant with tax experience assists in the Company’s overall federal, state and local tax planning and compliance as well as the day to day accounting functions.
*Responsibilities:*
Leads company’s tax efforts reporting to Controller and/or CFO with following functions:
Sales, use and excise tax filings (AKA SALT compliance):
* SALT tax notices
* Property tax filings
* Research and report escheats (unclaimed property reporting)
* Assist with audits of taxing authorities
* Assist outside tax preparer (UHY)
* Research tax matters as needed
Federal Tax – have the ability to follow previous years workpapers:
* Assist outside tax preparer (UHY)
* Research tax matters as needed
* If the candidate has more Federal experience, then S3 will shift some additional Federal responsibilities
Strong excel skills – advanced functions and the ability to manipulate large data sets
Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications:*
* Accounting degree with minimum of two years well rounded accounting experience with focus on tax
* CPA a plus
* Requires multi-state experience
* International experience a plus
* Self-starter, organized, results-orientated
* Strong communication skills
