Senior Staff Auditor

  • Coeur d'Alene
  • Hayden Ross, Pllc
Are you an experienced auditor seeking a new opportunity to elevate your career? Our firm is currently seeking a senior staff auditor to join our team. This is a unique position that could be either in-office or remote opportunity, depending on your situation. Our office is in Moscow, and if you lived here the position would be in-office preferred. However, if you lived in the CDA/Spokane area, position would be remote. We service a number of clients in the CDA area and your primarily responsibilities would include servicing these clients. This would allow for a remote position, with in-person visits to our clients.

As a senior staff auditor, you will play a pivotal role in conducting governmental and not for profit audits at our firm. Leveraging your expertise, you will lead audit engagements, assess risks, and provide accounting consulting to our audit clients. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA certification. Additionally, we are looking for an individual with a minimum of 3 years of audit experience, preferably within a public accounting firm.

Hayden Ross is a CPA firm, serving our clients with quality tax, accounting, auditing, and consulting services since 1938. We are a growing firm with partner opportunities for those looking to further their career in public accounting. We have approximately 25 employees, which allows our partners and employees to specialize in niche industries and services based on each person’s individual skill set and interests. As a single office firm, we offer fewer layers of hierarchy. This allows employes to develop stronger connections with colleagues and managers and fosters a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. This conducive environment not only enhances your professional growth but also facilitates effective mentoring opportunities, where you receive personalized guidance and support from experienced professionals. These relationships and mentoring experiences play a crucial role in accelerating your career development and fostering a sense of belonging within the firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development, particularly for those who currently have a CPA license or are interested in obtaining their license.

Working in a smaller public accounting firm offers several distinct advantages for you. Firstly, in a smaller firm, there's greater exposure to a wider range of responsibilities and clients. This exposure can accelerate professional growth by providing hands-on experience in various accounting tasks, client interactions, and leadership opportunities. Additionally, the collaborative environment of our firm fosters closer working relationships with partners and senior management, allowing for more direct mentorship and guidance. This personalized attention can be invaluable for career development, as it facilitates tailored feedback and support towards achieving partnership goals. Moreover, smaller firms often offer more flexibility and autonomy in decision-making processes, allowing senior staff auditors to have a greater impact on client engagements. This level of involvement can enhance leadership skills and demonstrate initiative, both essential qualities for advancing your career. Additionally, our firm promotes a strong sense of camaraderie and community among team members, creating a supportive work culture that fosters loyalty and long-term career satisfaction. Overall, the opportunities for growth, mentorship, autonomy, and camaraderie make working at our firm an attractive path for senior staff auditor aspiring to advance their career.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact with a firm that recognizes the value of work/life balance, we invite you to apply.
