Summary

The candidate should be an entrepreneurial and open-minded individual with a desire to contribute to a fast-paced, growing company. The candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager of the Bank and be expected to lead, take ownership of his/her areas of responsibility and ensure accurate and timely completion of company reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Posting daily and monthly entries to the general ledger
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Assist with the month end and year end close.
Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Researching and assist with inquiries and requested information in a timely manner.
Apply knowledge of Excel to analyze financial data, create models.
Continuously seek ways to streamline accounting processes, workflows.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within the banking industry.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in accounting, finance, or economics.
Other qualifications include:

Detail-oriented
Multi-tasking
Verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office with a proficient excel spreadsheet aptitude.
