Senior SQL Database Analyst

LaweLawe Defense is a leader in providing advanced defense solutions and is dedicated to supporting the US Army Human Resources Command (HRC). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Database Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions that optimize HR processes and improve decision-making for HRC. This candidate will work on-site at Fort Knox – HRC. The ideal person will work closely across various lines of business to understand the objectives of the organization and prioritize any requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and participates in the development and maintenance of Cyber and IA database systems while also offering database development resource to the development team.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support business applications.
• Optimize database performance through tuning and indexing.
• Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Develop and execute database backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for database systems.
• Conduct data analysis and generate reports to support business decision-making.
• Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

  Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years experience in a matrixed, high-functioning organization as a Senior SQL Database Analyst or similar
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related field with 15+ years relative experience; Master's Degree preferred w/ 10+ relative experience
• Previous experience working in roles with strong written and verbal communications skills
• Basic knowledge of Oracle
• Knowledge of XML, HTML, open-source development
• Experience in data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling, and monitoring tools
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux, including basic shell commands.
• Strong technical documentation skills (Windows Office, Visio, CVS, etc.)
• Advanced certification and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Professional certification at Technical Level III as defined by DODI 8570
• Active secret clearance required
• Must be a US citizen
