Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Relationship Banking Specialist is often the face of BankProv for its customers and is responsible for providing extraordinary customer service both internally and externally. Helps each customer to determine their financial needs as well as handle the day-to-day transactions. Ensures operational efficiency and demonstrates compliance with all State, Federal and other applicable bank regulations. In addition will perform select supervisory functions as needed.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provides exceptional customer service building rapport and relationships using the 7-Step Sales Process to use a needs-based selling approach
  • Embraces the Bank’s mission, CORE values and cultural foundation by taking personal initiative and setting a positive example for others to emulate
  • Engages in learning opportunities to advance knowledge-base
  • Ability to act individually and within a team environment to achieve branch-wide goals and activities
  • Assists other team members so the bank is represented in a favorable light and actively contributing creative ideas for constant improvements
  • Promotes the banks’ products and services by understanding its USP’s
  • Processes financial transactions, practices sound cash handling and answers inquiries and/or resolves simple to complex concerns on customer accounts
  • Participates, completes, and attends mandatory training and/or online assignments for regulatory compliance as scheduled
  • Performs select supervisory functions as needed and takes charge of daily operations in absence of Relationship Manager
  • Active participant in development and training of branch staff
  • Proactively assists Relationship Managers/Officers with deposit growth and acquisition
  • Ability to travel 10% or more of the time is required. Availability to travel on short notice to meet immediate business needs may be required

Required Skills/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of retail industry experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must have demonstrated ability to supervise or lead a team in current or prior work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work well with customers and employees
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team environment and build solid relationships
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid basic math skills
  • Able to assist with servicing customers over the telephone and can log in to assist with overflow calls from the Call Center queue
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and delegate when necessary
  • Professional dress and demeanor
  • Mastery of 7 Steps Sales Process or demonstrated sales skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have demonstrated ability to supervise or lead a team in current or prior work experience
