What you will do in this role:
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with a focus on peri-operative patients and surgical services
- Use therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintain a safe and therapeutic OR environment
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process and provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Participate in Surgical Services specific initiatives and process improvement
- Supervise and mentor new employees and nursing support staff
- Maintain high-quality care for patients across various age groups
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of accredited nursing school with a current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- BSN required within 24 months of hire, with current AHA or ARC BLS provider certification
- Prior surgical experience
