About the Position:
The Senior Engineering Integrated Program Team Lead provides engineering leadership of a cross-functional team with responsibility and authority to deliver key automotive products and integrate and test them at the subsystem and vehicle level. This position leads and oversees related performance activities and drives key engineering decisions to meet project schedule and cost goals.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Subsystem/domain technical authority; ensures product is developed in accordance with GDLS and customer engineering standards to achieve program requirements
  • Provide direction and guidance to applicable stakeholders to deliver technical products and deliverables to support project milestones
  • Ensure Survivability team products meet technical, cost, quality, and performance requirements
  • Manage Survivability Integrated Product Team (IPT) to deliver on technical scope within project constraints, and ensures customer expectations are met
  • Signature authority over related Survivability IPT scope, schedule, and budget
  • Responsible for review and approval of related products / CDRLs / Milestone review content
  • Individual will have control account responsibility for Survivability Areas
  • Lead Survivability IPT designs and test activities and makes trade/technical decisions in coordination with Project Leadership
  • Responsible for execution and management of design release to Engineering Release Plan (ERP)
  • Responsible for related subcontractor performance and coordination for engineering tasks
  • Survivability Lead for GDLS Leadership and Customer Interface
  • Coordinate with functional departments on related technical resource needs
  • Supports negotiations of technical requirements, scope and deliverables
  • Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree
  • Minimum 12 years of applicable experience
  • Experience in design and development for survivability of military vehicles
  • Experience in survivability products, structure / armor designs and vehicle protection systems experience preferred
  • Highly motivated performer
  • Works well in team and individually
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people skills is required
  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and control account management experience is preferred
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) knowledge is required
  • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible)
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel when needed
  • Will require significant presence on GDLS campus
