Check our Careers Site at https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/careers . <br> <br>This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. <br> <br>As a <strong> Senior Embedded Software Developer, </strong> you will be responsible to: <br> <br> <ul> <li> Develop and maintain embedded software for critical care diagnostics products with multi-core processors and / or heterogeneous multi-processor systems. </li> <li> Implement embedded software with digital signal processing algorithms including driver development and driver integrations. </li> <li> Troubleshoot and test software and hardware using embedded tools and lab equipment. </li> <li> Perform embedded software testing and verification as required for software releases per plan. </li> <li> Conduct code reviews, create and execute unit tests and support acceptance, integration tests per system requirements and perform manual quality-assurance testing as needed. </li> <li> Compile technical documentation of software features and functionality to establish that the embedded software is meeting system functional requirements. </li> <li> Assist with software architecture definitions and software design planning activities. </li> <li> Proactively collaborate with other technical teams as needed to ensure that the embedded software meets system performance and quality requirements. <br> <br> </li> </ul> This position may suit you best if what is below sounds like your background and appealing to you, in addition to wanting to develop your career with Healthineers.<br> <br> <ul> <li> Embedded software and application development and design of associated software architectures. </li> <li> Experienced with debugging embedded hardware and software interfaces utilizing lab tools and applications. </li> <li> Knowledgeable in developing embedded software applications in a multi-threading environment . </li> </ul> <br>Required skills for the success in this role: <br> <br> <ul> <li> Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/electrical/electronic engineering, math/physics, or related discipline and/or an equivalent combination. Advanced degree preferred. </li> <li> Minimum 8 years of experience; minimum 5 years as senior embedded software developer. </li> <li> C++ programming in embedded and real-time OS, in-depth knowledge of embedded architectures, ability to analyze code for implementing optimizations. </li> <li> Experience with data Acquisition or "real-time" systems control / programming, lower and high-level protocols, including wireless such as Bluetooth and Ethernet, serial interfaces SPI, I2C. </li> <li> Experience with POSIX-compliant real-time operating systems preferably QNX. </li> <li> Device driver development experience and familiarity with FPGA programming a plus. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Experience with software development in highly regulated operating environment such as FDA/ISO/GMP </li> </ul> <br> At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
