We are looking for a passionate Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer with a strong background in electric utility design engineering. Join our team in Walled Lake, MI and be part of a fast-paced, diverse work environment with opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems
- Review work provided by clients and assess requirements of scopes
- Perform engineering calculations and provide support during construction
- Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering design
- Coordinate conflicting utilities and assess large design packages for complex projects
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant electric distribution design engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Familiarity with distribution design tools and NESC standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS
- Proficiency in structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, and coordination of protective devices
- Previous work with CAD tools
