Description

Bessemer Trust currently has a career opportunity in Woodbridge, NJ for a talented Corporate Tax Senior Associate to join the Corporate Tax group. The Corporate Tax Department is responsible for the domestic compliance, tax accounting, business unit tax advice, and tax planning for the firm and other closely held legal entities. The Corporate Tax Senior Associate will be responsible for review and preparation of federal and state partnership income tax returns, information, reporting and withholding tax returns, and tax analytics for various investments including private equity, real estate, and hedge fund investing.

Core Responsibilities

· Preparation and review of federal and state partnership income tax filings in a time sensitive environment for multiple legal entities

· Preparation and review of information, reporting, and withholding tax returns, including Forms 1042 and 1099, for multiple legal entities

· Tax analysis, planning and assessments for internal management and end users

· Tax audit support, including preparing responses to federal IDRs and notices

· Reconciliation and validation of income tax accounts and balance sheet tax accounts

· Direct communication with interested parties including investors, investment managers, and vendors

· Flexibility to work on special projects as needed

Qualifications

· 3 to 5 years of hands-on income tax experience in a corporate environment or public accounting firm

· Bachelors or Master’s degree in tax or accounting

· Partnership tax compliance experience in private equity, real estate, and hedge fund industry

· Federal and multi-state tax reporting and withholding experience

· Experience performing tax research and familiarity with tax research tools

· Experience managing multiple projects

· Detail oriented with a high work ethic and level of accountability

· Strong proficiency with Excel; knowledge of ONESOURCE Income Tax a plus
