*Job Summary*

The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include reconciling tax, intercompany, and debt balance sheet accounts reviewing tax payment calculations, and resolving discrepancies. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a public accountant in audit work with at least two years of experience in the industry applying the skills learned working at a CPA firm. This is a salaried exempt position that reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

*Responsibilities*
* General Ledger Maintenance: Record financial transactions accurately into appropriate accounts, post debits, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
* Month-End and Year-End Close: Prepare and review journal entries, update account balances, and contribute to the preparation of financial reports during the month-end and year-end close processes.
* Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliation of general ledger account balances with statements and reports to verify accuracy and completeness.
* Financial Analysis: Identify and analyze variances in account balances between periods, providing insight and explanations; follow up on reconciling items.
* Compliance: Ensure tax registration accounts are current and ensure the master account database is maintained.
* Audit Support: Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, collaborate closely with auditors, and assist with audit procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams to address and resolve accounting-related issues, fostering effective communication and cooperation across departments.

*Qualifications*
* Two years experience as a public accountant in audit and at least two years experience in the industry in general ledger accounting and financial analysis position
* CPA or CPA candidate strongly desired
* Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks and GAccon
* Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
* Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
* Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance required Master in Accounting or MBA a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
