El Centro Family Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

Compensation: $20.50 to $27.59 hourly, commensurate with education and experience.

  • Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and fluent skill of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with dignity, quality, and confidentiality in all contacts with patients, staff and other health professionals.
  • Ability to recognize and differentiate emergent, urgent, and non-urgent signs and symptoms in patients both through physical assessment and telephone triage.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all patient contact, staff, and health care professionals.
  • Knowledge of general nursing procedures, protocols, and patient care.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/or Nurse Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides skilled nursing services for patients of El Centro Family Health, within the limitations and guidelines of the New Mexico State Nurse Practice Act.

The Licensed Practical Nurse conducts patient assessment as ordered by the Provider as a part of the daily routine and takes verbal and written orders from the Provider, perform wound care, assist with procedures, and provide essential patient care within the limitations and guidelines of the New Mexico State Nurse Practice Act.

Minimum requirements

Education : High school diploma plus completion of an accredited course of study in licensed practical nursing.

Licensure: Current and valid New Mexico LPN licensure.

Certification: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); Basic Life Support (BLS).

Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in a clinical setting.

Other Requirements: TST screening, background check, current New Mexico drivers' license and proof of automobile insurance .
