About the Role The Company is seeking a VP, Territory Distribution Leader with a clear vision for their career growth. This officer position is pivotal in achieving the overall profitability and production goals for an assigned territory within the West region. The successful candidate will work closely with business unit leaders and underwriters to ensure that the company's products are transacted effectively in the territory. Key responsibilities include engaging with the Regional Field Leader, collaborating with Business Unit resources, and ensuring alignment between the company's target appetites and the books of business of agents and brokers in the territory. The role also involves generating prospects, maintaining key relationships, and monitoring performance indicators to meet annual profitability goals.The ideal candidate will be a specialist in insurance distribution with expert knowledge of the industry, its products, and services. They should have advanced communication, leadership, and management skills, as well as a proven ability to drive sales results and manage a large book of business. A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related discipline or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 15 years of related underwriting, sales, marketing, and distribution management experience. Professional certifications are also preferred. The role demands a strategic thinker who can work at top executive levels to understand and align with the company's long-term business appetite. Talent management and succession planning are also part of the role, with a focus on maximizing profitable growth opportunities.
