Position Requisition
General Responsibilities:
The Application Engineer is responsible for development, continuous improvement of MerchSource's Warehouse Management System. This includes data, systems, reporting and integration. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications in the Technology and Data Services department the Application Engineer will liaise with the TDS team and business leaders at our Georgia distribution facility to understand our business requirements and ensure the technology decisions are supporting our business goals with focus given to quick changes in the business model. Works under minimal supervision and is able to identify and prioritize sub-tasks within assigned priorities.
Specific Responsibilities:
• cts as an applications engineer to develop new capabilities that will automate current manual processes and result in costs reductions and overall efficiencies within our warehouses and our 3PLs.
• Builds and leverages a network of contacts throughout the company allowing you to appropriately learn and share best practices as well gaining an in-depth knowledge of MerchSource specific processes.
• Performing functional configuration and application support for the Warehouse Management System and coordinate with the vendor for Tier 3 support for system bugs.
• Partner with Operations to design, build and provide support for all warehouse KPIs, functional reports and integrations between our distribution facilities, NetSuite and our EDI partners.
• Partner with our TDS Team and Operations to drive a continuous improvement process (Kaizen) to all of our processes within the GA DC inside and outside of our chosen WMS.
• Support all shipping documentation and labeling needs across all customers shipping form the GA DC (CLS) and through our 3PLs (ShipHawk)
Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent preferred
• 4 years+ supporting a WMS, including data, integration, and upgrades across WMS, Integration and Reporting systems
• 4 years+ experience with Oracle PL/SQL or MS tSQL is required.
• Experience with Korber Advantage, CLS, NetSuite and Power BI are a plus
• 2+ years of Master Data Management experience
• Knowledge of Cloud applications and integration approaches
• Fully knowledgeable of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis, design and programming techniques, programming languages, file access methods, web-based tools / solutions, system utilities and development tools, application software packages, and PC-based packages used in development or support of production systems.
