Technology Specialist I

As a technology specialist, you will be at the forefront of innovation, providing on-site support for Apple and Windows-based applications and processing systems. You will document procedures and work performed while supporting clients with various issues such as network services, email, and internet access. You will also maintain the computer asset inventory for assigned areas and provide weekly event support for audio-visual needs.
The ideal candidate remains current on technology and is willing to attend training workshops internally and externally. An interest in digital video and animation is preferred, as is a background in art.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
  • Two years of experience or relevant training
  • Familiarity with Apple or Windows-based hardware and software
  • Ability to move monitors, CPUs, and other equipment between locations
  • Ability to work outside office hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interest in digital video and animation
  • Background in art
Certificates, licenses, and registration:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Travel required:
  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
