Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for an experienced Psychiatric RN to work for our contracted facility in Gracewood.
Shift information: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Responsibilities:
- Gaging patients' psychiatric states.
- Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
- Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
- Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
- Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
- Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
- Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
- Conducting targeted psycho education, particularly within families.
- **Will be exposed to patients that may have COVID or work on units with COVID Patients.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- BLS (AHA)
- Must have current licensure as an RN
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes
- Also have knowledge of age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training.
- Also certified in CPI
- Familiarity with cultural perceptions about psychiatric difficulties.
- Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities.
- Superb interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution.
