RN Orthopedic Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Orthopedic and Neurosurgical unit at Ascension St. Vincent. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal issues, including broken or fractured bones, arthritis, osteoporosis, joint replacements, and other injuries and diseases.
• Work as an integral part of the orthopedic and neurosurgical team, collaborating with surgeons, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
• Monitor and record patient conditions, communicating with the healthcare team as needed to ensure timely interventions.
• Support and educate patients and families on procedures and plans of care, promoting patient understanding and empowerment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to patient care planning and coordination.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire required.
