This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define testing requirements, contributing to the development and modification of applications, and analyzing system performance to identify and resolve issues. The Application Tester specialist will also document processes, communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field; plus three years of experience in application testing, software development, or a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in systems analysis, with the ability to design, develop, and integrate complex software applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and create clear, concise documentation
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends in application development and testing
  • A passion and understanding of hunting and fishing in Arkansas

    TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs, develops, and executes comprehensive testing plans for software applications, ensuring the functionality, performance, and security of all components.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify testing requirements, develop test cases, and establish testing protocols that align with business needs and industry standards.
  • Contributes to the development of new applications and the modification of existing ones, ensuring they meet quality assurance standards and user specifications.
  • Analyzes complex system requirements, user needs, and data flows, developing solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems while maintaining system integrity.
  • Provides technical expertise in both application testing and development, helping to ensure that all software components function as intended.
  • Develops, evaluates, and maintains detailed documentation throughout the software development and testing lifecycle, ensuring all processes are well-documented and accessible.
  • Manages tasks related to multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing activities to ensure development and testing efforts are completed on time and within scope.
  • Reviews and analyzes system performance data to identify potential issues, and implements corrective actions to resolve defects and optimize performance.
  • Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear documentation and support as needed.
  • Ensures that all application testing and development activities comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
