The licensed RRT is responsible to administer basic and advance cardiopulmonary treatment to patients in all areas of the hospital.
Services include: bronchial hygiene, positive pressure ventilation, airway clearance and maintenance, life support ventilation, blood gas analysis and acquisition, pulmonary function screening, incentive breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, aerosol/humidity therapy, prescription medication delivery, pulse oximetry, spontaneous pulmonary mechanics, emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and patient assessment.
The licensed RRT must be able to adapt to the rules and regulations of different service areas, perform special duties as required by assignment and maintain standards of performance for each area assigned.
Licensure:
•Respiratory Care Practitioner
Current BLS.
Licensed RCP in Illinois.
Education/Experience Required:
1. Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
