Respiratory Therapist Nights

_ Position Overview: _

_ Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary function/disorders. _

_ Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. _

_ Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. _

_ Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. _

_ A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. _

_ Typically reports to a manager. _

_ Works in respiratory therapy. _

_ Qualifications: _

_ Associate's degree and a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). _

_ May be expected to maintain a CPR certification. _

_ Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. _
