Position Title: Residential Coordinator

General Description:

The Residential Rehabilitation Program provides 24/7 support services in the home to individuals experiencing behavioral health issues. The Residential Coordinator is responsible for oversight of day-to-day program operations. The Residential Coordinator is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and supporting staff. The Residential Coordinator provides direct psychiatric rehabilitation services on an individual and group basis. The goal is to make sure trained and adequate staff are in place to assist the residents to develop the skills necessary for independence and success.

Schedule: Full time (40 hours), five days per week with flexibility in schedule to interact with employees on various shifts. This person reports to the Residential Director.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skill Abilities to Perform Essential Job Functions:

A Bachelor's degree with at least three (3) years experience in mental health/psychiatric rehabilitation or related field is required. A valid driver's license with no more than two points is necessary. Possess the ability to respect individual choice in the recovery process and understand the abilities and needs of individuals. Also, this position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, supervisory and leadership skills, and ability to promote teamwork.

Summary of Essential Functions, Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise assigned staff.
  • Oversee program operations.
  • Coordinate the weekly staff schedule.
  • Provide program coverage in the absence of staff.
  • Order, receive and process medication for individuals in the RRP.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges to and from the RRP.
  • Track outcome data.
  • Conduct Housing Inspections.
  • Make purchases for the residences.
  • Work with Human Resources to provide New Hire Orientation.
  • Conduct staff training including billing, documentation in the Electronic Health record (HER), medication management in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR).
  • Complete and maintain program documentation for residents and staff as required.
  • Provide rotating on-call coverage for the Residential Rehabilitation Program.
  • Participate in supervision meetings with Director and employees, attend Service Team Meetings (as needed), RRP staff meetings, Utilization Review Committee (URC) meetings.
  • Provide direct care services for residents (medication management, crisis management, skill building and additional interventions) as needed.
  • Respond to critical situations and document incidents following program protocols.
  • Provide administrative reviews of incident reports as needed.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record to record services, progress notes, notification approval for billing.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record to document/manage/final approve services/billing.
  • Generate productivity reports to discuss during staff supervision.
  • Utilize Time and Attendance System to track, confirm, and verify staff attendance, and process leave requests.
  • Utilize Relias Learning to complete training/track employees progress through annual training schedule.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
