About the Role As a Principal Product Designer on the Hyper-automation Financial UX team you will shape the future of enterprise level experiences in AI/ML to create innovative solutions that our customers grow to trust. Be able to identify opportunities in an ambiguous and fast paced environment by demonstrating an ability to bring thought partnership and ideas with rational and business acumen to be included in roadmaps. You are organized, care about the details, and have a strong intellectual curiosity to understand a new domain. You strive to transform sophisticated tasks into fabulous and effortless experiences for our users. You understand that achieving phenomenal design is a team effort and requires collaboration with cross functional partners. You are willing to show your work early and often because you believe showing is more important than telling. You will lead product design for one of the major areas of our Financial Management suite of products. You’ll own the full design process, from partnering with product management and UX research on initial research and product definition, through concepting, crafting detailed designs, prototyping, testing, and working with engineering on implementation. This role involves both work on new as well as on established products and features, which will allow you to spend time thinking about the bigger picture across products while shipping concrete things to customers and end-users. You will have the opportunity to influence design and product through the development of frameworks that help scale the power of AI/ML across Workday You’ll partner with other designers to improve the quality of your designs and theirs, and continue your growth as a designer.Be an ambassador for UX, a mentor for other designers, and champion for the design culture at Workday. About You Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of product design experience preferably 2-3 years of enterprise product design 8+ years of experience working with product managers and engineering teams with initial product definition and ongoing product evolution and execution. 6+ years of leading major product design initiatives with medium to high complexity. Portfolio showcasing your design experience that highlights a blend of web and mobile based work . (Please share password) Other Qualifications: Ability to build alignment and articulate a product design vision through strong storytelling and presentations skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain your ideas and decisions in a way that anyone can understand. Ability to work with the larger product and engineering teams on influencing roadmap and supporting implementation. Extensive product sense and an understanding of how to ship a well-crafted product experience Willingness to learn and passion for collaborating with an outstanding cross-disciplinary team including UX, engineers, and product managers. Knowledge in designing multiple form factors including web and mobile. Highly knowledgeable of the latest design tools (Figma) and the ability to learn new ones. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
