Our surgical cases include all spine surgeries (neck and back, including pediatric (13years or older) scoliosis; all cranial (brain) surgeries including brain tumor removal, neuro-vascular surgeries/neuro-interventional procedures, etc.; VP shunt placement for hydrocephalus; Deep Brain Stimulators for Parkinson’s patients; and caring for all stroke patients.Typical RN to patient ratios on this unit are 1:3-4. For CNAs, the ratios are typically 1:8-12.
