Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff Up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience Job Summary This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Job Responsibilities Has effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing. Qualifications EDUCATION Required: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school. Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree). CERTIFICATIONS Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR. BLS - At hire or obtain w/in 5 working days before assuming patient care (2 yr renewal) ACLS - At hire or obtain within 60 days of hire/transfer (2 yr renewal) NRP - At hire or obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer (2 yr renewal) LI-NR1 Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime. Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
