This is a 30-bed Acuity Adaptable unit specializes in Ortho/Neuro, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Neurology, Urology, and Trauma. The patient population on this unit will vary from those with hip fractures, stroke, and surgical patients. This unit focuses on building and maintain a strong foundation for acuity level care. Shift: Various shift and statuses available! Nursing skills gained on this unit: * Obtain Ortho, stroke, and med/surg certifications * Develop strong bedside skills * Time management & flexibility while managing patients ranging in acuity levels Unit Successes/Designations * Recognized by Joint Commission as one of the select number of certified centers for hip and knew placements and as a Primary Stroke Center in the state of Indiana * Named on Healthgrade's top 100 hospitals for joint replacement in 2024 Unit Culture Highlights: * Flexible scheduling * Extremely team-oriented (no one cand do a procedure alone!) * Values based department * Dedicated to team member growth Qualifications * Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. * Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. * Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. * Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. * Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
