The Department of Labor, Reemployment Services Division, is seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to lead the North Platte and Lexington teams as Regional Reemployment Services Manager. The ideal person will demonstrate community involvement, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.<br> <br>Look at what we have to offer! <br> <br>&bull; 13 paid holidays <br>&bull; Vacation and sick leave that begin accruing immediately <br>&bull; Military leave <br>&bull; 156% state-matched retirement <br>&bull; Tuition reimbursement <br>&bull; Employee assistance program <br>&bull; 79% employer paid health insurance plans<br>&bull; Dental and vision insurance plans <br>&bull; Employer-paid $20,000 life insurance policy <br>&bull; Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) through the Federal government <br>&bull; Wide variety and availability of career advancement as the largest and most diverse employer in the State <br>&bull; Opportunity to be part of meaningful work and make a difference through public service <br>&bull; Training and Development based on your career aspirations <br>&bull; Fun, inviting teammates <br>&bull; A safe and secure environment <br> <br>Location: 600 E Francis, Suite 9, North Platte, NE<br>Schedule: 8am-5pm; Monday-Friday<br> <br>Examples of Work<br> <br>&bull; Plan, organize, coordinate, and provide administrative direction regarding the delivery of employment and training programs under the Wagner-Peyser Act, Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment grant, Jobs for Veterans Act, and all other laws/programs providing employment and training services.<br>&bull; Develop and conduct public relation activities, across the Region, to explain the various employment and training programs available to employers, labor organizations, governmental agencies, community groups and the general public.<br>&bull; Establish and oversee the development of performance goals, priorities and policies for employment and training programs administered by the Nebraska Department of Labor.<br>&bull; Prepare annual budgets for office location and monitor fiscal expenditures on an on-going basis to ensure program allocations are not exceeded.<br>&bull; Establish and evaluate program performance goals and standards to ensure continuous program improvement.<br>&bull; Coordinate and collaborate with other State agencies, local governmental agencies, employers, community services, labor organizations, local training agencies and other organizations in the public and private sector to ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained.<br>&bull; Responsible for the supervision and operational control of NDOL offices in the North Platte region, including coordination with One-Stop Operator and partners.<br>&bull; Responsible for personnel management to align with program performance goals and priorities.<br> <br> <b>Requirements / Qualifications: </b> <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications</b>: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, financial management, social/behavioral sciences, human services, or related field plus 3 years' experience in program management with employment and training programs. OR Associate's degree in public or business administration, financial management, human services, or related field plus 5 years' experience in program management, 3 of which are employment and training programs. Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.<br> <br> <b>Preferred Qualifications</b>: Public Board and Process Improvement experience desired. Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred but not required.<br> <br> <b>Other: </b>Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.<br> <br> <b>Knowledge, skills, and abilities</b> <br>Knowledge of: Reemployment and training programs; laws and regulations governing the delivery of reemployment and training programs; Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint); Management Information Systems (MIS) and Electronic Content Management (ECM) used to track workforce program information; NEworks.<br> <br>Skilled in: Process Improvement practices; communicating with others to relay information; public speaking; listening to and understanding others; negotiating, mediating; identifying creative solutions for problem solving; conflict resolution.<br> <br>Ability to: Supervise and evaluate staff supervised; effectively direct and administer the functions of assigned staff and programs; identify customer expectations, needs and problems and provide effective resolutions; market programs and services; coordinate and collaborate with diverse groups.<br> <br> <b> <br> <b>Benefits</b></b> <br> <br>We offer a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, paid time off, retirement and professional development opportunities to help you get the most out of your career and life.
