Job Overview:
The vCTO proactively designs, implements, and maintains comprehensive best practice assessments using an RSC (risk, security, & compliance) management toolset for all client systems. This role emphasizes building strong technical relationships through regular onsite visits, aligning clients to best practices, and driving down reactive ticket counts. Strong leadership experience in a Team Lead or Manager role is essential, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement technical best practices, reducing reactive support needs by aligning clients with optimal configurations.
• Conduct regular onsite visits to clients, performing system assessments and maintaining documentation and asset management.
• Collaborate closely with vCIO to align client systems with business goals and prepare for technology meetings.
• Serve as an escalation point for service desk issues and provide field-service technical support.
• Lead and manage automation, process improvements, and knowledge base content to increase service efficiency.
• Ensure client satisfaction by proactively advising on and implementing new technologies.

Requirements:

• Experience in a leadership role (Team Lead/Manager) within an MSP or similar environment, overseeing multiple SMB clients or complex technical environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft AD, O365, network infrastructure, security, and vendor management.
• Proven experience supporting Group Policy, VPNs, desktop support, security incident remediation, and asset management.
• Ability to develop client relationships and proactively address technology needs during onsite visits.
• Focus on improving processes, reducing ticket counts, and driving alignment with best practices.
