North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a job in Tupelo, Mississippi. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Technical: Have the ability to perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation. Budget: Keep supply use to a minimal and maintain overtime to 3% or less Liaison: Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and family members to ensure effective communication/interaction Ensures high quality health care is delivered at the West Point Facility and Radiology department by effectively interacting and cooperating with providers Reporting: Prepares and presents patients reports/projects as required Maintains that exams and charges are correct on daily basis. Regulation: Must have the training and experience to perform in the modality of two or more of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Mammography, and Diagnostic Radiology. Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues Requirements: Graduate of AMA approved school. Registered or registry eligible by ARRT or RDMS in minimal of two modalities. Mississippi Medical Technical License (for MS facilties only) CPR required Excellent interpersonal skills; required Job Knowledge: High School diploma. GED, or equivalent; Required Graduate of AMA approved school. Registered or registry eligible by ARRT or RDMS in minimal of two modalities preferred.
