Radiology Imaging Specialist

As a Radiology Technologist at Ascension, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. Your expertise will help physicians diagnose medical problems, and your attention to detail will ensure that images are accurate and of the highest quality.

• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, selecting exposure factors accurately to produce high-quality images.
• Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Monitor patient safety during procedures and report any abnormalities or equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed, minimizing unnecessary exposure to patients.
• Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring accurate patient data and history.
• Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and equipment.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
