Quality Manager

If you are passionate about quality, committed to continuous improvement, and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking company, we want to hear from you. <br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Leadership & Oversight</strong>: Provide leadership and oversight to the quality inspection team to ensure timely and proper product inspection for customer delivery. Reports directly to top management.</li><li><strong>QMS Management</strong>: Monitor, audit, and update the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure policies and procedures are current and followed.</li><li><strong>Quality Reporting</strong>: Provide comprehensive quality reporting and updates to plant leadership and the executive team, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong>: Drive Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to enhance overall product quality and delivery.</li><li><strong>Policy Maintenance</strong>: Update and maintain quality policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100D and other certification standards.</li><li><strong>Reliability Assurance</strong>: Ensure the reliability and consistency of production by devising inspection procedures, monitoring operations, and supervising staff.</li><li><strong>Audit Leadership</strong>: Lead internal audit teams, set schedules, conduct training, and interact with third-party auditors during audits. Lead Auditor experience preferred. </li></ul><br><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Oversee all quality aspects of the facility, including monitoring operations that affect quality, supervising inspectors, and ensuring legal standards are met.</li><li>Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data, reporting malfunctions, and proposing immediate actions.</li><li>Maintain records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation; ensure all legal standards are met and communicated effectively with external quality assurance officers.</li><li>Complete customer surveys in a thorough and timely manner; lead interactions with visiting auditors throughout audit activities.</li><li>Create various quality reports as needed or directed; assist QA with corrective/preventive action requests and enter data in the ERP system.</li><li>Assist with training documentation, maintain the training matrix, and complete special projects assigned by management.</li></ul><br><strong>Requirements/Qualifications</strong><br><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. At least 5 years of QA leadership is preferred. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for detailed information exchange with customers, coworkers, and management.</li><li>Must be able to interact positively and professionally to develop and maintain strong working relationships.</li><li>Highly skilled at reading and interpreting procedure manuals, policies, prints, models, drawings, and work instructions.</li><li>Proficiency in basic math, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and the ability to calculate proportions and percentages.</li><li>Effective time management and task prioritization to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly; ERP system power-user experience preferred.</li><li>Clear, legible handwriting with the ability to take quick and accurate notes; strong grammar and spelling skills.</li><li>Must be capable of utilizing and adapting to the ERP system effectively.</li></ul>
