SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead a team of Quality Engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing the Quality Assurance function. The successful Quality Assurance Manager ensures that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting procedures and out-puts and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues.

An excellent Quality Assurance Manager has eyes like a hawk and solid experience in quality control. The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional whose approval will be necessary for the continuation of a business life cycle.

The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations and services aiming to the long-term success of our business along with leading a high performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interfaces with end customers to ensure quality problems are documented, resolved, and corrective actions are in place.
  • Audits, develops, and administers key internal processes and develops metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Communicates key customer quality metrics.
  • Creates, trains, communicates, and documents the Quality Control ISO processes and procedures to ensure Crenlo maintains ISO certification.
  • Develops and implements first article, in process, and SPC inspection plans to ensure a consistent level of quality.
  • Develops a sustainable calibration recall system and physical testing programs.
  • Documents and maintains technical and historical data for the evaluation of purchased material and supplier quality.
  • Coordinates weekly quality communication calls with key stakeholders and customers to ensure proper follow up and visibility of customer issues.
  • Administers the CAR process to ensure follow up on CARs is taking place and that the actions solve the issues.
  • Maintains customer and supplier returned material programs.
  • Effectively leads and develops the Quality Engineering staff to achieve assigned projects and activities.
  • Leads and manages the development quality programs and tracks the effectiveness of these programs including program standards, training, and quality documentation, and strives for continuous improvements.
  • Monitors and updates quality documents, procedures, work instructions, forms, raw material specifications, packaging, in-process products, and finished products.
  • Champions and cultivates a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identifies and communicates workplace hazards and corrects/seeks assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical discipline and experience may offset education.
  • 7+ years' experience in a technical quality discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in a manager/leadership position.
  • Sheet metal manufacturing background desired.
  • ISO 9000, S.P.C. and T.Q.M. experience desired.

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

  • Full Time, Salary-Exempt, 40+ hours per week, Monday -- Friday
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • This job works in a normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, dust, odors, drafts, etc.
  • Sitting/standing, free to move around, some repetitive movements (i.e., keyboarding)
  • Sustained visual concentration on numbers, policy documents, etc. while viewing small areas such as monitors and small screens.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law, compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.
